PERIPHERIE 8, the art room in the attic in a residential building on the outskirts of Basel. PERIPHERIE 8 is an independent art room for artistic experiments.
The room is open for collaboration and mutual exchange and for mediation. The focus is on different media.

PERIPHERIE 8 is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year.
It is with a heavy heart that we will close the project in this form on 20 September 2025. We can no longer issue an open call, as we unfortunately do not have the financial resources for programme funding to fairly remunerate artists' production conditions.
​
​We opened the exhibition space on 19 June 2021. After 19 exhibitions with around 40 participating artists, we are closing the PERIPHERIE 8 Off-space exhibition space, the Kunstzimmer.
